Painter is putting on the final coats of our interior paint (in the right colours mind you). He has also done 1 coat of the MJH Builders Mix stain for the beams on our facade, as well as our front door. I know it will get darker with a second coat, however I love how it looks so far - I think it'll blend in perfect with the Caoba garage door.
Also had a surprise benchtop installation today, yaay. So Caesarstone benchtops installed in bathrooms and kitchen, as well as kitchen sink and bathroom basins.
Kitchen benchtops are all covered up right now though - they are white, not black ;)
Looking good! Hopefully the brick pillars will be bagged and painted tomorrow

Huzzah for caesarstone! That's so exciting, I would be beside myself with the temptation to peel the protective layer off haha. The stain looks amazing, don't worry it won't get much drake with a second coat. Any hints on handover yet?

DeleteHahaha Mel's so funny 'drake' hehe. Yes I second how awesome it is to finally have some finishing touches just to wet the taste buds. The colours look fab you must be so pleased. Say, you guy's are pretty much neck and neck, have you asked your SS for a date yet? Oops, that's a hand over date lol.

no specific dates for handover yet though Mel & Michelle. I asked again about April and seemed to get a vague yes to this lol timeframe wise, I reckon we've got maybe 2-3 weeks of work left (provided the tradesman show up on time), then a couple of weeks for PCI and handover.
how long was it before you had handover after benchtops went in Michelle?
